QR Code

What exactly is a QR code? QR code is the most popular 2-D barcode. QR is short for Quick Response because they are codes can be read on the cell phone very quickly. QR code is sort of like a bar code which you scan with your cell phone and it receives data.  Depending on what is the purpose of the QR code, many different things can happen.

How can QR code benefit your company? The main attraction of QR code is that it can be placed anywhere. You can place the QR code wherever and anyone can scan it. Upon scanning the QR code, they might be linked to your website. This can highly increase traffic onto your website. Other applications maybe the QR code contains data to a product or service that you provide and the user can browse through the information if they are interested with what you see. You can place your QR code in any public place if you have the chance. One example is that you can place your QR code on the subway, where thousands of people pass by everyday and they all have the chance to scan your QR code. This provides you with many more potential customers from places you will least suspect it. An example of this is shown below.
Aside from the application of the QR code, it will improve your reputation as a company.  When people visit your site using a QR code or find a QR code on your site, they will know that this company is serious with what it does and are up to date with technology. This not only changes the view of other people when they view your site but will also how Google see them. When adding a QR code Google search engine will notice that you have updated your page by adding an image of a QR code. This will cause it the judge your website more highly then other websites that have not been updated often or at all. This will increase the traffic on your site when users search for a keyword related to your site.

There are many other neat examples of how QR code can help your business grow. However one of the neat and interesting aspects of QR code is the Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality affects your view of reality by changing it with code. There have been many applications of Augmented Reality being used however the one that is very neat and interesting is a business card that implements this shown below. Take advantage of this fast expanding technology and you will see the effect on your company in no time.
